Commonwealth Partnerships was honored with multiple MarCom Awards, including platinum awards, from the the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. The firm received two 2016 Platinum Marcom Awards for its work with Commonwealth Senior Living (CSL) and an Honorable Mention Award for its work with the Virginia Housing Alliance (VHA).
The two Platinum Awards recognized innovative and impressive publicity campaigns for CSL. Commonwealth Partnerships worked with CSL experts to increase awareness around virtual dementia tours offered at CSL communities and the importance of caregivers and others to learn more about the challenges faced by those with dementia. The campaign led to significant media coverage around the state — including print, online, TV, and radio placements — and increased resident inquiries for participating senior living communities. Most important, hundreds participated in virtual dementia tours. The second Platinum Award honored Commonwealth Partnerships for a publicity campaign with CSL that told the incredible story of two World War II Veterans who fought on opposite sides of the war and later become friends at CSL’s community in Christiansburg, VA. This improbable tale was widely covered in local media outlets and as a feature story in the Washington Post.
Commonwealth Partnerships also received an Honorable Mention Award for designing a logo for the newly-formed VHA. The logo was a critical component of a broader re-branding campaign when VHA was created through the merger of the Virginia Coalition to End Homelessness and Virginia Housing Coalition. The logo captured VHA’s statewide mission of increasing housing opportunities and eliminating homelessness.
